Prevention and Awareness-Raising

Since the moment the Health and Community Foundation came into being, a strong commitment was made towards prevention and awareness raising as one of its most important fields of action, thanks to the conviction that these are fundemental lines in addressing issues such as drug abuse, violence against women, health education, sexuality, etc.

We understand that prevention cannot simply consist in warning about risks, but a step further must be taken. Hence working in social contexts as varied as leisure places, universities and workplaces, etc. to influence and anticipate certain social and health problems.

Working with young people with the support of our volunteers is a determining factor for our methodological approach, which seeks, at all times, the participation of the target group.
