We support people experiencing social and housing exclusion

Since it was founded, Fundación Salud y Comunidad has worked to improve social inclusion and guarantee a safe space for homeless people. We support them to live as independently as possible, covering their basic needs and providing social and health care.

We run drop-in and social spaces that act as points of support and trust, where we can get to know each person's needs and help them rebuild their social ties. These spaces can also be used to guide people and provide information about other social inclusion and employability resources.

Our organisation follows the approach of the European platform Feantsa, and we choose to speak of "homeless people" to emphasise the lived, social and community dimension. A homeless person has lost more than a place to live: they have also lost resources and emotional ties.

With this in mind, we promote "Housing First" to offer vulnerable people a safe and stable space, as well as advice on energy poverty, applying for public housing, rent assistance, finding housing on the open market, finding a place in housing resources, social tariffs for utilities, etc.
