Nits al Caliu:Night shelter for drug users in situations of exclusion (Castellón)

Nits al caliu (“nights by the fire”) is a night shelter for homeless people who misuse or use drugs or alcohol. Its aim is to guarantee safe accommodation that allows their basic needs to be met every day.

We offer social and psychological support to face and overcome the obstacles that arise in these people’s lives and to help improve their situation.

This programme makes it possible to provide comprehensive care, as it complements other programmes we run in the city, as well as those of other organisations and administrations with which we coordinate to support the people we serve (Social Services, Centro Mujer 24 horas, Hospital Social Work Units, Mental Health Units, Addictive Behaviour Units…).

This programme is funded by the Consellería de Igualtat i Polítiques Inclusives of the Generalitat Valenciana, the allocation of personal income tax (IRPF) for social purposes, the Provincial Council of Castellón and Castellón City Council.
