Social housingfor older people in Altea (Alicante)

This is a service run by Fundación Salud y Comunidad (FSC) itself, which manages 38 homes for older people resident in the municipality of Altea (Alicante).

These homes are intended for people over 60 who are pensioners, have been registered as residents in Altea for at least 5 years, do not own a home and are autonomous in carrying out activities of daily living, and who, due to various social, personal and/or economic circumstances, do not have access to standard housing and require this specific service.

In addition to receiving a home in exchange for a low social rent, the older residents receive other benefits that improve their quality of life, including ongoing professional care as well as cleaning and household maintenance services.

As for the features of the homes, each apartment has a floor area of approximately 45m2 and can be for single or double occupancy. The service also has common areas, in the form of lounges, which encourage interaction among neighbours through group activities or games, as well as individual activities such as reading.

It should also be noted that these apartments are located on the upper floors (first and second) of the CIM (Centro Integral del Mayor de Altea), which is also managed by our organisation, so residents can benefit from the services offered there.
