"World Wide Inclusive Website (WWIW): Exchange of creative therapeutic practices for the inclusion of people with addictive behaviours. Erasmus+

The central idea of the WWIW Project revolves around the creation of an online platform that supports and facilitates creative projects. Its general goal is to create inclusive communities where people suffering from addictive behaviors, mental disorders, or who are in situations of risk or social exclusion interact with the general population, by:

  1. Fostering the creation of inclusive communities;
  2. Creating small social groups within local communities;
  3. Developing creative projects (theater, painting, crafts, etc.) aimed at vulnerable people.

This is a project driven by the Belgian artistic association OXOt (www.oxot.be) and funded by the Erasmus + Program of the European Union to promote the development and inclusion of skills through creativity and the arts. Other participants include the adult training institute ΙΝΜΑD (www.inmad.org) from Austria and the KPLARISA Addiction Prevention Center from Greece (www.kplarisa.gr). From the Fundación Salud y Comunidad (FSC), we participate through various services from the areas of social integration and addictions (Therapeutic Communities, Day Centers, etc.), and primarily through the “La Crisàlide” Reintegration Day Center.

The long-term goal is to establish cooperation that combines artistic creativity with rehabilitative and preventive functions. Over time, it is intended to establish sustainable links between partner organizations to continue cooperating in this crucial area for the services and projects we develop.

During 2021 and 2022, the following exchange and training activities aimed at members of the European partner organizations have been organized:

  1. The gender perspective in Art Therapy centers (Barcelona, Spain)
  2. Managing diversity with the goal of building/increasing resilience (Vienna, Austria)
  3. Combining arts and culture with addiction prevention (Larisa, Greece)
  4. Art and creation for the social inclusion of vulnerable people (Antwerp, Belgium)

A reflection on the process and the results of each of the activities has been compiled into an EBook (in English) available for download here.
