ALIAD@S: Labour Actions for Innovationand Support in Occupational and Social Development

Within the framework of the ALIAD@S (Acciones Laborales para la Innovación y Acompañamiento en el Desarrollo Ocupacional – Labour Actions for Innovation and Support in Occupational Development) initiative, programmes for people in situations of social exclusion and/or at risk of social exclusion are promoted and managed from the province of Alicante, focused on the three pillars of labour inclusion: Guidance, Training and Intermediation:

GUIDANCE

CONOCE-T, EMPLEA-T. Pathways for the personal and professional development of people at risk of or in social exclusion (Alicante).

Launched in 2021 in the province of Alicante, this programme is funded by the Vice-Presidency and Regional Ministry of Social Services, Equality and Housing, through the tax allocation of 0.7% of personal income tax (IRPF) of the Generalitat Valenciana.

The main objective is to improve basic personal and employment skills through the development and acquisition of interpersonal and emotional skills for quality labour market inclusion.

The programme activities are based on individual care and group workshops to respond to the social and employment needs of the beneficiaries. They are supported in the process of improving their employability and maintaining their achievements, strengthening pre-employment and employment skills. In addition, intermediation with partner companies is facilitated and psychological well-being is promoted, so that they can adopt new perspectives, set new goals and regain their motivation.

TRAINING

DIGITALIZA-T: From Social Inclusion to Digital Inclusion (Alicante).

Launched in 2024 in the province of Alicante, this programme is funded by the Vice-Presidency and Regional Ministry of Social Services, Equality and Housing, through the tax allocation of 0.7% of personal income tax (IRPF) of the Generalitat Valenciana.

The main objective is to improve basic digital, personal and employment skills in order to guarantee equitable access to employment, economic and social opportunities, through personalised training activities on information and communication technologies (ICT) that encourage participation and inclusion in the community.

This programme is delivered through training pathways focused on the acquisition of digital skills, by means of practical workshops that make it easier to apply these skills in daily tasks and activities.

INTERMEDIATION

PERSEO, Strategic Programme for Social Responsibility and Occupational Specialisation to improve the employability of people in situations of social exclusion or at risk of social exclusion (throughout Spain, except Ceuta, Melilla, Navarre and the Basque Country).

Launched in 2020 in the Valencian Community and the Region of Murcia, it was extended to other territories in 2022 and is currently also carried out in: Andalusia, Aragon, Asturias, the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, Cantabria, Catalonia, Castilla-La Mancha, Castile and León, Extremadura, Galicia, La Rioja and the Community of Madrid.

This project is funded by the Ministry of Social Rights, Consumer Affairs and 2030 Agenda of the Government of Spain, charged to the tax allocation of 0.7% of personal income tax (IRPF) for carrying out activities of general interest considered to be of social interest.

With the aim of improving the employability of people in or at risk of exclusion through the exercise of corporate social responsibility, it carries out both intermediation and awareness-raising activities, including: management of job offers, recruitment, pre-selection and support in the process of improving their employability, guidance for companies on developing social policies both internally and externally, visits to the organisations’ facilities, short training sessions (for company professionals and for programme beneficiaries alike), and corporate volunteering.

PERSEO owes part of its success to collaborative work with social organisations, as we work towards a common goal, “improving the quality of life of the most disadvantaged people”, and thanks to this networking we offer beneficiaries a greater number of opportunities, thus helping to achieve this goal as quickly as possible. The programme includes actions that partner organisations can use to support, improve or complement the personalised pathways of the participants in their programmes, thereby increasing their chances of improving their employability and finding a job or achieving better conditions and, consequently, a better quality of life in their current job.

With a team of professionals located in different regions (to cover the whole country), years of experience in career guidance, prospecting, recruitment and training, intermediation and awareness-raising, and with the help of volunteers who have added value to the programme. More than 1,400 beneficiaries to date endorse the PERSEO programme and its continuity.

IDEM, Programme for Inclusion and Diversity in the Business Environment to promote equal treatment and non-discrimination (Aragon, Castilla-La Mancha, Catalonia, Community of Madrid, Valencian Community and Region of Murcia).

Launched this year, 2025, with the aim of improving the situation of vulnerable people and promoting equal treatment and non-discrimination in workplaces, turning unconscious biases into conscious ones and fostering corporate and individual social responsibility, in order to encourage attitudes of respect, solidarity, appreciation and tolerance towards diversity.

IDEM arises from the need and demand of companies to ensure that they are safe and inclusive environments that guarantee compliance with Law 15/2022, of 12 July, on comprehensive equal treatment and non-discrimination

Companies take part through various activities, such as measuring their “workplace health” in terms of diversity and inclusion management within the company, and participating in awareness-raising workshops on vulnerabilities, forms of discrimination and unconscious biases.

All participating companies receive a report on their “workplace health” in terms of diversity and inclusion management, with suggestions and proposals for improvement and their position on the IDEM scale:

The programme includes an analytical study of the data obtained, both from the participation of the organisations’ contact persons and from their workforce. It aims to make visible the situation of the population with regard to discrimination, the most discriminated groups, etc., thus providing necessary added value to improve the personal and professional situation of all those people who are at risk of and/or in social exclusion.
