General Residential Care HomePlana Alta (Castellón)

The “Plana Alta” General Residential Care Home is a care service intended to take in, care for and educate minors who need specialised care because they are in a situation of lack of protection. As it is a temporary care resource, the maximum length of stay should not exceed two years, unless it is in the best interests of the minor.

The service is aimed at minors aged 6 to 17 who are in the protection system and whose care and/or guardianship is assumed by the Consejeria de Igualdad y Políticas Inclusivas of the Generalitat Valenciana, through its Regional Directorate in Castellón, the body responsible for directing, supervising and coordinating the general activities of the centre.

Our functions include, above all, providing the care and protection needed to ensure the integrity and proper development of the minors. Likewise, we are responsible for encouraging them to undertake the training needed to strengthen their individual development process, so that each minor can overcome their personal, social and family difficulties and regain the personal resources to relate to themselves, to their reference socialisation groups and to the community.

FSC, in a consortium with Asociación Lagunduz, is responsible for the management and direct operation of this service, which includes the care staff, made up of professionals (management, psychologist, social worker, educators, social integration technicians and administrative assistant). In addition, the centre has 7 indirect care workers who belong to the Consejeria de Igualdad y Políticas Inclusivas.
