Sheltered Housing“Concilio de Trento II”

The CONCILIO DE TRENTO II Sheltered Housing is an initiative of Barcelona City Council comprising 39 apartments, which currently houses a total of 44 people. FSC has managed this service since November 2007.

The general objective of this facility is to provide the older people who benefit from it with adapted housing that enables maximum independence and fosters community life and social integration.

Over the last year, 66% of the people supported at the centre were women and 34% men, with an average age of 77; they maintain an acceptable degree of autonomy in organising their daily lives and good cognitive abilities for their own personal care.

The main achievement of our work has been the integration of the facility into the neighbourhood, thanks to the large number of activities connecting with the local area that take place throughout the year.
