MAIS active inclusion measures programme(L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona)
The MAIS Programme is promoted and subsidised by the Generalitat de Catalunya and the European Social Fund. Until the 2021 edition it was aimed at recipients of the Guaranteed Citizenship Income (RGC), but in the 2022-2023 edition the rules were amended to facilitate the participation of people from other groups at risk of or in a situation of social exclusion who are registered with the offices of the Public Employment Service of Catalonia (SOC) as jobseekers or as seeking to improve their employment.
The main objective of the Programme is to improve people’s employability in order to facilitate their entry into the labour market. To achieve this, the work is based on an individualised plan in which the actions to be carried out are agreed. These actions, organised by the employment guidance officer, include both group activities, in which basic and transversal skills are worked on, and individual actions, each adapted to the personal circumstances of each person.
In addition, the Programme has a business relations officer who works to raise companies’ awareness of people who face difficulties in entering the labour market, building collaborations that open the door to non-employment training placements and potential hiring.
It is carried out at our offices in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona), which are very well located near the Pubilla Cases metro station, and in accordance with the planned programme calendar.
The beneficiaries will be:
- Recipients of the Guaranteed Citizenship Income (RGC).
- People at risk of or in a situation of social exclusion, accredited by the corresponding certificate, from the following groups:
- Long-term unemployed people over the age of forty-five at risk of or in a situation of social exclusion.
- People with drug addiction or alcoholism problems who are in the process of rehabilitation and social reintegration.
- Young people over the age of sixteen and under thirty coming from child protection institutions.
- Prison inmates whose situation allows them to take up employment, people on parole and former prisoners.
- Recipients of the minimum living income (IMV).
- People who cannot access the guaranteed citizenship income or the minimum living income but who, in the opinion of the competent social services, are at risk of exclusion.
- People with physical, mental or sensory disabilities.
Beneficiaries must be registered with the offices of the Public Employment Service of Catalonia (SEPE) as unemployed jobseekers or as seeking to improve their employment.
