Assisted Living Apartments“Gran Vía”

This is a residential complex owned by Barcelona City Council, with 79 apartments for older people, which allows this group to live alongside young people housed in the same facility.

Specifically, the building also has 160 loft-style apartments, aimed at helping people under 35 to become independent. FSC has managed this project since April 2004 and provides the following services:

• Social care
• Assistance with activities of daily living
• Cleaning
• Laundry
• Sociocultural activities
• Concierge service
• Maintenance, etc.

The general objective of this facility is to provide beneficiaries with suitable, accessible housing, adapted to enable maximum independence and to foster community life and social integration.

Among the achievements in the management of this service, it is worth mentioning that, over the years, an optimal level of coexistence has been reached between the two groups that share spaces in the centre: older people and young people. Likewise, the wide variety of scheduled activities carried out to foster relationships between neighbours deserves to be highlighted.
