The “El Verdader” General Residential Care Home is a residential care resource located in the province of Alicante whose purpose is to care for children and adolescents in the child protection system of the Valencian Community.

This residential care centre has the status of a comprehensive care facility of an educational nature for minors under the care and/or guardianship of the Generalitat who are deprived of a suitable family environment, and whose length of stay depends on what is determined in the administrative decision that led to their admission.

The service, which has a large professional team made up of various professional profiles in which the educational team is the largest group, is characterised by an intervention geared towards the social and family integration of the minors based on individualised planning for each case, with a methodology based on the pedagogy of everyday life, complemented by a diverse range of action programmes aimed at normalisation, overall development and positive social integration into the community.

In this way, and from an individualised perspective for each case, reflected in the planning and implementation of the PEI (Individualised Educational Project), the aim is to promote the fullest possible development and personal growth of the children and adolescents in the main dimensions, such as intellectual, emotional, social and health, including an approach to diversity from an inclusive perspective.

The “El Verdader” General Residential Care Home has a maximum capacity of 11 places.
