Our commitment

Fundación Salud y Comunidad wants its website, www.fsyc.org, to be usable by everyone, regardless of their abilities or the devices and assistive technologies they use. We take as our reference the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA and the European standard EN 301 549.

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. It has not been audited by an external body: this is a self-assessment carried out with automated tools (Lighthouse) and a manual review of the main pages.

What we have done

  • Sufficient colour contrast in the text, buttons and links of the main pages.
  • An orderly heading structure and identified page regions, to make navigation easier with screen readers.
  • Full keyboard use, with a visible focus indicator on links, buttons and form fields.
  • Touch targets of sufficient size on touch devices.
  • Links and buttons with an accessible name; those that open in a new window or download a document say so.
  • Respect for the system preference to reduce motion: animations are turned off.
  • Text that adapts to zoom and to small screens, with no horizontal scrolling.
  • Site available in Spanish, Catalan, Basque, English and French, with the language of each page declared.

Content that is not yet accessible

  • PDF documents, especially older ones (annual reports, reports and publications), which may not be tagged for screen readers.
  • Third-party content embedded in the site, such as the newsletter signup form, the annual report viewer or some videos, whose accessibility depends on their provider.
  • Logo images of partner organisations, whose alternative text is limited to the organisation’s name.
  • Older news items and project pages with images lacking a description or tables that do not follow an accessible structure.

How this statement was prepared

This statement was prepared on 18 October 2026, based on a self-assessment of the home page, the areas and services, About us, Donations, Volunteering, Get involved and the news. We will review it whenever we make major changes to the site.
