KENTO. Inclusion housing for peoplewith mental health disorders in Alicante
KENTO (a Japanese term referring to something healthy and uplifting) is a residential and psychosocial rehabilitation resource for people diagnosed with severe mental disorder, launched by Fundación Salud y Comunidad in the city of Alicante.
Its main objective is to help residents acquire the skills they need to achieve personal and social autonomy in daily life.
We support community inclusion through the following 3 cross-cutting pillars:
- Person-Centred Care (ACP).
- Quality of life.
- Rights-based perspective.
The KENTO home can accommodate up to 5 people, is mixed and is located in a traditional Alicante neighbourhood adjacent to the city centre. The people supported by this project receive direct support from a team of three professionals with extensive experience in mental health.
KENTO is accredited by the Conselleria de Igualdad y Políticas Inclusivas of the Valencian Community.
