Promotion of employment for women in situations of greater vulnerability.Trabajo y Formación Programme (Catalonia)
The programme Trabajo y Formación, promoted by the Public Employment Service of Catalonia and co-funded by the European Union, aims to improve the employability of unemployed people in situations of particular vulnerability who have difficulty accessing the labour market. At Fundación Salud y Comunidad (FSC), we promote the employability of women in situations of greater vulnerability.
Project objectives:
- To promote the effective labour inclusion of three women in situations of greater social complexity, through actions for empowerment, skills development and improved employability.
Specific actions:
- Hiring three women in vulnerable situations for 12 months, full-time, so that they can develop the technical and work skills needed for their labour inclusion in a real and safe environment.
- Training in transversal skills to enhance their employability.
- Social and employment support during their induction, adaptation and performance of tasks, as well as in defining their subsequent labour inclusion pathway.
Community impact:
- We incorporate a gender and intersectional perspective into our support and into actions in the local area, comprehensively addressing the complexity of each situation and the resulting inequalities.
- We raise the visibility of the hiring of women in complex situations in networking spaces and with partner organisations, promoting awareness and participation in future editions of the project.
- We combat prejudice and develop diversity management skills, building up experience and learning that can be transferred to other social and labour inclusion projects.
- We generate a direct impact on women, providing them with work experience with training and professional support, consolidating learning and fostering their subsequent labour inclusion.
