Comprehensive support service for people with a mental health or dual diagnosis (Barcelona metropolitan area)
The comprehensive support service is aimed at people over the age of eighteen with a mental health or dual diagnosis who need comprehensive support to consolidate their autonomy and their social and community inclusion. This service is funded by the Department of Social Rights and Inclusion of the Generalitat de Catalunya through the ordinary call for grants for social organisations (CONVO).
The main objective of this service is to improve the promotion of autonomy and community inclusion of the people served and their families. As an intervention strategy, participation is encouraged and people are actively involved in various community activities, making use of social, cultural and leisure resources.
Supporting people in improving and recovering their autonomy and community inclusion has a positive impact on their family and social environment. The comprehensive care service is characterised by a personalised approach, providing support in the psycho-emotional, educational, occupational/employment and social areas, as well as advice and support for family members and the fostering of links with services within the mental health network.
Objectives
- To promote better interaction between participants and their families
