"Xiquets" general residential care home for children and adolescents (Valencia)

The “Xiquets” general residential care home for children and adolescents is a centre owned by the Generalitat Valenciana that cares for children and adolescents (NNA) with special needs in the protection system, aged between 6 and 17 inclusive, who require particular care due to their special physical, mental or sensory needs.

The service, provided 24 hours a day, has a total of 8 places under residential care as a protection measure, to provide these children and adolescents with a place to live and share daily life, as well as care geared towards their holistic and community development.

Stays at the centre are residential (under guardianship or care), with the possibility of outings or visits with their families at weekends and during holidays, if required.

The professional team of the service is made up of the following roles: director, psychologist, social worker, nurse, social educators, higher-level vocational training technicians in sociocultural and community services, and general care staff.
