Sharing experiences


FSC collaborates with organizations in other countries to contribute our experience and know-how

As far as in 1992, the European Commission selected us (under our former name as ABS, in consortium with Intersalus), to coordinate the EU Phare Programme on Drug Demand Reduction, coordinating a team in 11 Central and Eastern European countries and with experts from 8 EU member states.

Subsequently, ABS (later FSC) took over the leadership of two “LIEN” programmes in cooperation with Romanian and Bulgarian NGOs on Children and adolescents HIV+, prostitution and sex trafficking. Also the leadership of a Socrates programme (European Catalogue of Health Education Materials for Adults), for 3 years and with the participation of 9 EU member states.

Subsequently, FSC has participated and/or led several EU programmes:

ERASMUS+ PROGRAMME

  • The Day After”: Training and support for youth served in residential care institutions for the day after reaching the age of majority. Coordinated by FSC under Strategic Partnerships for Youth.
  • Worldwide Inclusive Website”, an international network of professionals and organizations that use art practices to impact the health and well-being of people, particularly those at risk or in a situation of social exclusion exchanged good practices.
  • EPF Network”, on health promotion (drug prevention and sexual and reproductive rights) among the university population. Erasmus+ Programme, Solidarity Corps.
  • STREET SUPPORT”, contribute to the social inclusion and participation of alcohol- and drug users and reduce at the same time alcohol- and drug related nuisance in the public space (Strategic Partnerships for adult education).
  • BETRAD”, Better Treatment for Aging Drug User (Strategic Partnerships for adult education).
  • ALTERNATIVE”, standard European training model for caregivers of elderly or people with disabilities in the family environment (Strategic Partnerships for VET education).

RIGHTS AND CITIZENSHIP PROGRAMME

  • “Sexism Free Night”, on sexual violence in nightlife environments.

JUSTICE PROGRAMME

  • Interleave”, on women who use drugs surviving gender-based violence.

FSC has also participated in a wide range of international cooperation projects on the prevention of gender-based violence and the promotion of sexual and reproductive health and rights in Kabylie (Algeria) (2002-2012) and Dakar (Senegal) (2020-2021).
