The \u201cEn Plenas Facultades\u201d (EPF) project run by the Health and Community Foundation (FSC) has begun the academic year with plans to launch new training activities in various regions of Spain. Once again, EPF will continue to train, inform and raise awareness among the university community about the prevention and reduction of risks associated with drug use and the promotion of healthy sexualities, from a gender perspective and free from moralising approaches.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The project’s initial plan includes courses, inter-university training and seminars, both face-to-face and online. This variety of formats makes it possible to adapt what is offered to the characteristics, needs and realities of each region and its university communities.<\/p>\n

The training of Health Agents will also remain one of the project’s core strands. Through a peer education methodology, students will acquire knowledge and tools on drugs, healthy sexualities, the gender perspective, communication and prevention.<\/p>\n

The aim is for participants to be able to take what they have learned back to their own circles, and to design and carry out prevention activities for other students on their campuses. In this way, knowledge turns into action and helps to build prevention that is closer to students, more participatory and more connected to the experiences and needs of the university population.<\/p>\n

One of the main new features of the year is a new edition of the EPF Conference, which will be held next year. The event will once again be a forum for sharing experiences, knowledge and methodologies among professionals, institutions and organisations working in prevention and health promotion with young people.<\/p>\n

The conference will also help to strengthen the network built around the project, raise the profile of initiatives developed in universities and create a space for reflection on new challenges relating to substance use, sexualities and young people’s wellbeing.<\/p>\n

As well as consolidating its existing partnerships, EPF is approaching the new academic year with an eye on expanding the project. One of its strategic goals is to gradually widen its network and reach new regions.<\/p>\n

This growth will bring EPF’s prevention model to a larger number of students, encourage different regions to share experiences and learning, and further strengthen cooperation on health promotion within the university community.<\/p>\n

Up-to-date information on training, registration and activities will be available in the events calendar on the \u201cEn Plenas Facultades\u201d website<\/a> and through its social media profiles.<\/p>\n

With this new academic year, FSC’s \u201cEn Plenas Facultades\u201d project reaffirms its commitment to prevention based on information, participation and support, encouraging university students to play an active role in creating healthier, safer and more inclusive spaces. Through training and peer education, the project will continue to foster a better-informed university community, able to meet the challenges of substance use, sexualities and wellbeing from a critical, responsible and respectful standpoint.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
