Its main function is to provide them with a space for reflection and temporary support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Barcelona City Council is the institution that owns the centre.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Improving the reception of women in emergency situations due to gender violence requires a specific, transitional emergency service that makes it possible to establish a joint work plan between the women and other centres in the municipal network of care for women.
