The Behavioural Addictions Care Service<\/strong> is a project aimed at restoring the healthy use of the addictive activity or behaviour (or its cessation, in the case of pathological gambling), regaining control and interest in other activities or motivations until the full recovery of the family, work, school and social life of the affected person.<\/p>\n

A Behavioural Addiction is understood as any rewarding behaviour or activity that becomes the person’s priority need and interferes with the development of other previously habitual practices, becoming their only source of motivation and causing serious deterioration in the life of the affected person. Recognised behavioural addictions include gambling addiction and addiction to some new technologies; compulsive shopping or lack of control over sexual impulses<\/strong>, among others, are excessive behaviours that can also be interpreted from this addictive perspective.<\/p>\n

We have a multidisciplinary team with a gender perspective, made up of psychologists, a psychiatrist and social educators, and a care network that enables us to design individualised treatments to better respond to the people we support.<\/p>\n

Who is it for?<\/strong><\/p>\n

All people, and their families, who engage in the abusive or addictive practice of any activity that causes significant distress, with social, personal, work\/training or economic consequences.<\/p>\n
